The 4 Best Ways to Enjoy Coffee

coffee

Ah, coffee. A gift from the gods that only keeps on giving. For most of us, coffee is something that gets us through the day, no matter how hard it is. Even the worst coffee is better than banging your sleepy head on the table.

However, there’s one problem with this magnificent plant. Actually, it’s not the plant’s problem; it’s ours. We don’t know how to enjoy it properly. Let’s face it, we all know how to order a black coffee, but when it comes to other variations of it, we become too shy to ask how it’s made and how does it taste. There are many different ways to enjoy this marvelous plant, so let’s take a look at some of them.

In a mug, of course

A cup of coffee doesn’t have to be as bland as your work day. If you’ve finally decided that simple, black coffee is just not good enough for you anymore, then get ready to step into the world of wonders. Just remember one thing – it’s important to use high-quality coffee beans for every cup of coffee, at least if you want to enjoy drinking it.

Ristretto – Don’t have the time to drink coffee but you still want to get that kick to start the day? Then this concentrated espresso shot is exactly what you need.

Mocha – If you have a sweet tooth, Mocha might just be what you’re looking for. It should be made with 60 ml of espresso, 60 ml of chocolate, and 30-40 ml of steamed milk.

Cafe au lait – Do you prefer brewed coffee over espresso? Fear not, cafe au lait exists. A mug of it with some steamed milk will make all your worries go away.

And that’s certainly not all – there are many more ways to have your perfect cup.

As a peeling

Coffee (caffeine) does all sorts of good things for your skin. It can tighten and tone your skin, and it can even diminish the appearance of cellulite. If you want to use coffee as a peeling, read below:

You’ll need:

3-4 tablespoons of pre-ground coffee

1 tablespoon of sugar (any kind will do)

2 tablespoons of coconut or olive oil

Stir the ingredients until they’re combined and store it in a sealed jar. Don’t worry; this peeling will last for up to 2 months!

In a cake

The taste of the traditional coffee cake is not really that great, is it? That’s because, at best, it has a strong, adult flavor that not many like – not even those who drink coffee religiously. Well, you can change that by adding the right ingredients.

For starters, take that recipe for coffee cake that you have and throw it in the trash. Good, that’s the most important step. Now go and visit Jamie Oliver’s website and check out the recipe for a cake that will blow you away. Just make sure to follow the instructions. His recipes are known to be pretty foolproof.

In a cocktail

After a long day of work you probably want to go out with your friends. As it happens, you’re feeling tired, and you don’t want to drink coffee in a bar while everybody else is drinking alcohol. Fear not, cocktails with coffee exist! Here are some of those cocktails that you can order or even make at home:

Espresso Martini

Put 60 ml of espresso, 60 ml of vodka, and 30 ml of Kahlua in a shaker filled with ice. Shake it and serve it in a martini glass.

The Truffle

60 ml of Frangelico, 60 ml of vodka, and 40 ml of cold espresso. Combine them in a shaker filled with ice and serve in a tall glass.

The Wake-Up Call

120 ml of vodka, 60 ml of coffee, 30 ml of triple sec, 60 ml of milk. Once again, combine the ingredients with ice in a shaker and shake vigorously. Serve this cocktail in a brandy mug and don’t forget to garnish it with coffee beans.

There are many different ways to enjoy coffee, and these are just some of them. Don’t be afraid to experiment with coffee and award your senses. And remember, life’s too short for bad coffee.
