Exploring Senoia, Georgia // Where The Walking Dead is filmed
In honor of The Walking Dead starting next month, I went to Senoia where a lot of Season 3, 4, and 5 are filmed. Senoia, Georgia is a quaint, small town 25 miles southeast of Atlanta. If you head towards Main Street you’ll start to notice where some of the scenes were filmed, especially the seasons with “The Governor” in Woodberry. They have turned this town into The Walking Dead tourist area. There’s The Walking Dead Cafe and Nic & Norman’s restaurant (which I highly recommend eating at). Plus there are tours available and you get your very own personal TWD tour guide. The tours were $25/person for 2 hours or you can buy your own tour book guide from The Walking Dead store and do your own tour. If you’re a fan of TWD, it’s worth checking out and if you’re lucky, they may be filming while you’re there!
Check out the pictures we took while exploring Senoia!
Exploring the town
Starting to look familiar now?
Where to eat
The Walking Dead Cafe has a little bit of everything from coffee to souvenirs. Make sure to head downstairs to see some Woodbury items from the set.
I’d suggest grabbing a bite to eat at Nic & Norman’s restaurant. It’s not what you expect in downtown Senoia with chandeliers and draping curtains but the food was really good and it gets you off your feet for a little while.
Hope you enjoy exploring Senoia as much as we did! If you’re lucky you might even spot a cast member!
Oh hey Rick (the tour guide Rick, not the real Rick 😉 …
Who’s ready for Season 7 to start and who do you think Negan is going to take out??? October 23 can’t get here quick enough!
