Fun and Easy Monster Marshmallow Cupcakes Recipe Perfect For Halloween
‘Tis the season for zombies, vampires, googley eyes and lots of sweets, specifically monster marshmallow cupcakes. The countdown to Halloween has started and it’s getting to be crunch time. If you’re still looking for a quick treat to take to a house party or for your kids Halloween party. I have an easy breezy cupcake recipe for you!
This recipe is courtesy of Smart School House and there are more fabulous ideas over at Brit + Co. Although I altered the Monster Marshmallow Cupcake recipe a little bit from the original recipe plus with a 6 year old and an 8 year old as your assistants, nothing goes as planned. Plus I picked up a cupcake kit from Party City that included material to make Bat Cupcakes, so we had a nice mixture of Halloween supplies. We definitely had fun making these monster marshmallow cupcakes!
What you need:
- Cake Mix
- Icing
- Marshmallows
- Writing Icing
- Cupcake Liners
- Googley Eyes
- Sprinkles (optional)
- Halloween cupcake kit (optional)
Monster Marshmallow Cupcakes Recipe:
- Preheat Oven
- Line cupcake pan with liners
- Follow steps on cake mix
- Let cupcakes cool before icing
- Apply icing to cupcakes once cooled
- Put marshmallows in icing on the cupcake
- Use the writing icing to make the googley eyes stick on the marshmallows (they may slide off until the icing dry, just push them back into place)

We ended up with a mixture of cupcakes but you get the idea – get creative and have fun. And the more eyes the better!
