The Ultimate Travel Guide to Panama City Beach, Florida
I went to a high school that took Spring Break in PCB so my memories of Panama City were crazy. However, I wanted to take a drive down memory lane while we were visiting the newly renovated Sheraton Bay Point Resort. I was so excited to take a ride to PCB, that’s Panama City Beach for non locals, and I was pleasantly surprised! I have so many memories there and I loved every minute of driving down memory lane. The area has grown, changed, and improved so much. It was so cute. I can’t wait to go back! Bright colored houses, donuts with a view, snow cones, boardwalks, and all the beach vibes!
If PCB is only a short dive away and within road trip distance, pack your bags and get ready for some fun in the sun!
Where To Stay
There are a TON of hotels directly on the beach where you can stay. You can even rent a home through VRBO or Airbnb. Since I’m older and wanted to have fun in PCB but also be in a semi private more luxury spot I opted for the Sheraton Bay Point Resort just a few miles away. I would definitely recommend staying there if you’re into bay views, spa days, boat rides, beaches, and golf.
Where To Eat
Seafood is a must while you’re in PCB. You have to stop at Thomas’ if you want amazing donuts! They are the best! Call ahead if you want a GIANT donut! It’s 10000% Instagram worthy! They also have snow cones and ice cream too! They also serve burgers and fries, hot dogs you name it, their food is legit! Bonus, you get an amazing view because it’s right across from the beach!
What To Do
Helicopter rides are so much fun! You can take a tour of PCB and it’s a great way to see everything in a short amount of time. We rode with Panhandle Helicopter and with options as low as $40 there is no excuse not to go!
Take a boat ride to Shell Island to relax on the white sandy beaches sans crowds! There are so many water sports rental activities available on-property that include pontoon boats and jet ski rentals from the pier, and nearby marina access to deep sea fishing charters and SCUBA/snorkeling the Florida Panhandle Shipwreck Trail and other dive sites just off the Gulf of Mexico shores access.
Walk around and explore! Find a hidden spot or just cruise down to Pier Park! There’s a Panama City Beach Winery I didn’t get to check out while I was down there but it’s on my list for next time!

All the bathing suits! It’s hot! So bring bathing suits, beach coverups, beach hats, coolers, cute beach towels and beach accessories!
