We’ve already told you what to pack and what to do in Vail so now let’s talk about food. I mean, the exercise you get with the activities really builds up an appetite so we narrowed down our favorite food options to our top 7 picks.

Top 7 Restaurants to Eat in Vail

Tavern on the Square

YUM. I may have gone overboard here but I had the spirit alive in me! This gem is at the bottom of Eagle’s Nest Mountain in Lionshead Village. The atmosphere was everything I hoped it would be. It is a hot spot for locals to grab a mountain beer after their run. I chose the Crazy Mountain Lawyers Guns, Money Beer and it was awesome. Their simple greens salad made my mouth water, and for a sweet treat be sure to try their donuts. The homemade custard sauce was delightful.

Blue Moose Pizza

A local favorite and a town staple. Be sure to stop by and enjoy their hand tossed NY style pizza and enjoy the casual relaxed atmosphere. This spot came highly recommended by the locals.

Garfinkel’s

An awesome sports bar with quality food in the middle of Lionshead Village. This place offers Bison Burgers that locals and tourists alike highly recommend.

The 10th

Looking for a meal with an incredible view? This is your spot. The 10th is located at the base of Look Ma run at Mid-Vail. It has spectacular views of Gore Range! Their cuisine is a mix of French, Swiss, Italian, and Rocky Mountain cooking. This is a premier dining spot and it requires a scenic ride ticket to get to its amazing spot on the mountain.

Sweet Basil

A trendy hot spot inspired New American eats in a swanky dining room. Not up to that, hang out in the bar and get the same food but a different experience. Keep an eye out for some well known faces at this place. Celebrities tend to drop by for a meal, and it was featured on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

La Bottega

Looking for some Italian cuisine? We recommend the lobster ravioli and any of their amazing desserts. They have a great wine list and  it’s a local favorite.

Bol

Just what it sounds like, bowling and fine dining. Great food and a sophistiaed bowling lounge. Don’t think of the grungy lanes you have in your hometown, this place offers a clean, fun, and exciting environment if you want a break from the cold.

Rimini Gelato

Even when it’s cold sometimes sometimes all you want is a tasty gelato! Definitely head in Rimini to try all of their amazing flavors! They also have delicious chocolate treats and hot chocolate to warm you up!

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

Make sure to stop here and grab some chocolates and sweets after dinner!  Their chocolate covered caramel apple was amazing.  I mean, who doesn’t love chocolate stores?

Every time we asked a local where their favorite place to eat was they usually said Moe’s.  We obviously wouldn’t recommend this because we eat BBQ all day being from the South but we felt obligated to mention it.  We even looked it up on Trip Advisor and Moe’s was #5 out of 91. Maybe I need to open up a Jim N Knicks or Full Moon in Colorado?!

Grab your best friend, save this post, and go to Vail! I promise, it will be one of the best decisions you’ve ever made!
