Dope Swimsuits
One pieces are my new favorite and, as my friends say, I love things with words on them so the ‘Dope’ and ‘Squad’ one pieces are right up my alley.

Flower Crown Headbands or Bandanas
Just something to keep your hair from getting frizzy when it dries and to keep it out of your eyes when your hair is wet. I also pack a little bit of conditioner to keep my hair from getting dry in the sun.

An Amazing Tan
We like to have a good pre-tan going before we hit the pool. Our girl Tori from a local tanning boutique is always great for this because she comes to my house to do the whole squad at once!

Delicate Jewelry + Cuff
We love wearing a few delicate pieces of jewelry to the pool. Our go-to are the pineapple necklaces, heart earrings and cuff.

Matte Longwear Lipstick
I love love love bright fun colors, especially for a pool party but they need to be long wear to last all day in the sun and pool.

Fruit (and snacks)
Fruit that’s fun to eat and to Instagram! We always go with pineapples and watermelon. But, you’re also going to want to bring some actual snacks to eat like goldfish.

Instagramable Pool Floats
Go ahead and spend $40 on Dr Pepper at Walmart so you can get our favorite Dr Pepper pool float! Make sure you have an electric pool float pump to make blowing up all those floats way faster.

Drone
It just takes your party pics to the next level. I’m super obsessed with my drone and try to use it whenever I can.

Beach Towels
The huge black and white stripe towels are my favorite…but round beach towels are always great too!

Sunscreen
Because protecting your skin is a must!

Pool + Hot tub
Or some body of water! If you can’t make it work, go old school with some sprinklers, slip n slide, or inflatable pool.

Photographer
Let’s get real. You’ll be in the pool so having someone take your pictures is a must. Our #VGBsquad photog is Jennifer Oetting Photography. You can also try asking a stranger or a friend but make sure you frame up your shot and let them know exactly what you want it to look like. If that’s not your thing setting up a tripod is your best bet! You can use a remote to take pics, set up a video and just freeze frame the shots you want, set a timer, or use time lapse photo mode.

Because who doesn’t want their fur baby in a photo.

By the pool they need to be thin and lightweight. Nude and tan colors work best to keep the heat away.

It’s always nice to have something fun to play with in the pool. You can even get emoji baby beach balls.

Balloons
If you’re really going for a fun Instagram photo then blow up those balloons, baby, and throw them in the pool. Bonus, you can fill up any extra ones with water and throw them at everyone. Talk about a cute boomerang! Grab the ones from Walmart in the party section.

Friends
Obviously you have to have your squad there!

Speakers
Blue tooth, wireless, waterproof, and loud! Might want to bring a backup phone charger or battery pack just in case.

Shades
Always, always, always have a pair of dope sunglasses.

Cooler
A cooler is a must to keep your Dr Pepper cold! You can use cooler bags, inflatable ones, buckets, or something extra fancy that has wheels and a blender attachment. Your choice.
