Our Stay at the Omni Hotel on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
The Omni Hotels are known for their beautiful properties and amazing accommodations. When we went to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina over the Christmas break we wanted to have a relaxing and enjoyable spot to spend a couple nights. The Omni Hotel provided us with a cozy room that offered the most breathtaking view of two pools and an ocean backdrop!
Omni Hotel Oceanfront Resort, Hilton Head Island
We arrived early and decided to give the hotel a call, and our room was ready! This was truly convenient since we had been traveling so much over the past week. A welcoming staff checked us in quickly and gave us a map of the resort and we were off to check out our room. We stayed on the fifth floor with a “courtyard view” and were surprised that it overlooked two pools with a gorgeous view of the ocean in the background. The patio was perfect for our complimentary coffee’s that were delivered in the morning so we could enjoy the landscape, palm trees, and blue ocean while watching the sunrise.
Our Room with a View
Our room was perfect for our needs. We had a kitchenette with a small table and four chairs, sitting area, two queen beds, a huge television, and a wash room with an adjoining bathroom for privacy. It was very quiet and calming. The décor was modern, with paintings on the wall that reminded you that you are at the beach.
Things to do on the Property
Pools and Hot Tubs: One of the best parts of this hotel other than the breathtaking views it provides was all the things there were to do on the property. If it’s too cold to swim in one of the huge beautiful pools surrounded by palm trees, enjoy a hot tub!
Foodie: If you aren’t into swimming, and more of a foodie head to the ground floor level. You have a choice between a nice steak house, Palmetto Market, or XO Sports & Spirits. The Palmetto Market is my favorite. They had everything from wine to soft drinks, decadent desserts to seasonal salads, a candy bar and much more! There was a flat screen tv with a comfy couch to relax on to if you just wanted to chill.
Activities: The activities surround the resort include their spa, biking, beaching, golf, tennis, volleyball, basketball, and even kids camp for the little ones. There is the Palmetto Dunes Outfitters which features a calm 11 mile lagoon perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding. There is honestly so much to do! All I wanted to do in hang out in the hot tub and stare at the ocean. But I managed a to find other fun activities like life sized chess!
