Our Stay at The Fitzwilliam Hotel in Dublin, Ireland
Wow! Is the first word that comes to my mind when I think of this exquisite, luxurious hotel – mainly because it literally took my breath away. Located adjacent to the gorgeous St. Stephens Green and surrounded by picturesque Georgian buildings this is a prime location for shopping and dining at the finest places Dublin has to offer. Whether you prefer to take a stroll in the park, shop till you drop or feast on traditional Irish cuisine, you absolutely cannot beat the location of The Fitzwilliam Hotel. From my very first phone call when booking my reservation until the last day of departure, the customer service and attention to detail was remarkable.

When we arrived at The Fitzwilliam, we were greeting with a warm welcome, a special hand written note, chocolates and baggage concierge to help with all of our bags. Each guestroom at The Fitzwilliam features complimentary wi-fi, high-speed internet, cable television, complimentary mineral water and daily newspaper.

We absolutely LOVED our Deluxe Suite with views overlooking St. Stephens Green. Attention to detail at The Fitzwilliam is everywhere you turn. Duck down duvets and pillows, Murdock toiletry products, his and her spa robes and slippers, nightly turn-down service, complimentary chocolates and O-M-G the BEST rain shower ever in each bathroom!
Additional accomodations include the on-site spa and salon, 24-hour fitness suite and their 2 dining options which includes Citron and Inn on the Green.
Late Afternoon Tea Menu at The Fitzwilliam Hotel
My absolute favorite experience at the hotel during my stay was their brand-new, recently re-vamped Late Afternoon Tea Menu! This is a MUST try while staying at The Fitzwilliam. Served daily from 2pm-6pm at Inn on the Green is a culinary adventure you can’t pass up. So, let me convince you a little further. Starting at only 35 euros per person you have a plethora of options to customize your personal tea experience. As if the menu of items wasn’t the star of the show, the presentation of these sweet and savory treats are meticulously placed on a gorgeous 3-tiered silver stand that looks as good as they taste! The brand-new late afternoon menu includes:
Savoury items: Dexter Beef, Rocket, Horseradish Crisp, Tomato Cone, Goat Cheese Mousse, Beetroot Jelly, Pistachio Dust, Sakura, Hanlon’s BBQ Salmon, Chickory & Pickle Salad, Trout Roe, Ham Hock, Apple Gel, Affilla Cress, Black Sesame & Panko Smoke Halibut Beignet (my favorite!) and Lime Aiolli
Sweet: Raspberry & Chantilly Sable, Victoria Sponge, Summer Fruit Basket, Blood Orange & Vanilla Panna cotta, Scones & Preserves
