Exploring Atlanta: Krog Street Market and 97 Estoria + GIVEAWAY
Welcome to Atlanta where the playas play! These streets are talking and I had so much fun listening! Exploring new parts of the city of Atlanta never gets old. I still can’t believe there are parts of this city that I haven’t seen… but there are… lots!
I’ll let you in on a few hidden hot spots (one of which was just featured on HGTV). 97 Estoria which is a bar/restaurant with great views of the “living walls” facing the Krog Street Tunnel. This place was amazing! They have so much food to choose from and it’s not your typical icky bar food. It’s legit. I can’t wait to go back because there are so many things I wanted to try. I had the Smokehouse BBQ Burger and tried the smoked Brisket Tacos. They were both delicious!
Go through the tunnel and walk a few blocks to the Krog Street Market! You can also ride the belt line there… it dead ends into a dirt road (that usually has a couch sitting in the middle) turn left then make a quick right and you’re there!
Krog Street Market is a must destination for Atlanta’s intown culture and people always searching for unique, specialty creations. It’s designed to be as authentic as the 1920’s warehouse it’s built into. I’m a huge exposed brick warehousey (yep that’s a word now) fan so this was right up my alley! With market stalls to sell produce, goods, and prepared food, along with a few southern-grown restaurants and retailers. It’s an Atlanta gathering place of sorts – a locale for taking in an extraordinary meal or picking up a few ingredients. Right in the heart of Inman Park. You grab a beer or an ice cream cone and walk around each stall browsing or hanging out catching up with friends.
I love that you can get fresh cheese and meat there! My favorites were the bar Hop City, Little Tart Bake Shop (which serves cheddar waffles and bacon on the weekends), French Market Flowers and Jeni’s ice cream (I got the goat cheese and raspberry ice cream…Mmmmmm)! I love supporting local businesses!
More to explore! So stay tuned.
