9 Earth Day Recycling Tips & Ideas
Here are 9 tips to help you use that stuff you might otherwise throw away in your home, some ideas that are just a good way to recycle, and some ideas that are pretty crafty and cool!
1. Wine Corks – Make a Corkboard
Fun to do, great for yourself or to gift, and also just one more reason to have your wine 🙂

2. Keep Grocery Store Plastic Bags
Instead of throwing away all of those grocery store plastic bags, keep them and use them through your house/apartment in small trash cans like in bathrooms, the patio, garage, etc.
3. Repurpose Empty Glass Jars (Mason Jars, Glass Bottles, etc)
Use empty glass jars or bottles as food containers – for example mason jars, detox juice bottles, you can use to package homemade Almond Butter (recipe here), dates, almonds, peanuts, pistaccios, and the list goes on! This is also a good health trick to keep healthy foods in these jars and out on your counter. It looks good and organized, and you’re only tempting yourself with healthy snacks.
4. Wine Corks – Make Wine Cork Coasters
How awesome!

5. Wine Cork Letter
Use those corks to make a cool letter for yourself or as a gift for a friend!

6. Wooden Ladder into Bookshelf
So easy. Just repurpose an old wooden ladder and make it a shelf or bookshelf anywhere in your place!
7. Use an old Fitted Sheet to Keep Sand Off While At The Beach
Great trick, and gives some purpose to those old sheets you were going to throw away!
8. Broken Picture Frame into an Earring Holder
This one is one of my favorites because I don’t even want to wait until a picture frame is broken to do this. So easy and cute.
