Festival season has already started and the next big one up is Lollapalooza in Chicago, July 28-31. And happy 25 years and with a lineup like this, it’s a reason to celebrate!  I love festivals, everything from the music to the food to the people watching. However, making sure you have all the necessities in your purse for a festival will make the overall experience even better.

Here’s my list of the 8 items you MUST have in your festival bag…

1.Cash & Ticket: There’s nothing worse than getting to an event and realizing you forgot your ticket or your id. I’m OCD and check like 100 times before leaving and while I’m in the Uber just to make sure I have it. It’s always a good idea to have cash on hand at festivals (small bills too). Most of the time you can get drinks and food quicker if you have cash and some stations just accept cash. Plus you don’t want to get stuck paying those ATM fees.

2. Phone, Charger, and Battery Pack: Now this may sound excessive but you know you’re going to be upset when your favorite band comes on at 9 pm and you can’t take a Snapchat to send to all your friends because your phone battery is dead. It’s nice to have on hand, especially if that phone is also going to help you get a ride home from the festival.

Tip: If your battery is getting low and you’re not using your phone, turn on airplane mode or switch to low power mode. 

3. Chapstick & Lipgloss: Always be picture ready with some lipgloss and being out in the sun all day long, you’ll want some chapstick to protect your lips from the sun and to keep them moisturized.
