Our Stay at the Raleigh Hotel in Miami, FL
We checked into the gorgeous oceanfront Raleigh hotel in South Beach Miami and headed straight for the famously scalloped shaped Art Deco pool. It’s the perfect location! This hotel is so dreamy and chic with the black and white striped decor and Art Deco architechture. The Raleigh Hotel first opened in 1940 and is currently under renovations but I can’t wait for the return of this beautifully renovated hotel!
I can’t speak to what the renovations will look or feel like but previously there were 105 guest rooms that were intimate and glamorous. This boutique hotel definitely stands out as a masterpiece in South Beach. The Raleigh features on the most iconic pools in the world. Described as a “jewel” of modernist design, the dramatically scalloped lagoon with a cascading waterfall has been the stage for Ester Williams wet ballets.
Conde Nast Traveler Magazine named it, “One of the Sexiest Pools in America, one of the World’s most Photographed Pools.”
A monument to 40s Florida cool with Deco era beach decor and tribute to old world glamour The Martini Bar is a hidden and laid-back retreat for locals and celebrities.
James Beard award wining Chef Michael Schwartz leads all the food and beverage operations at The Raleigh. Guest can enjoy a warm and chic outdoor garden restaurant and a Sunday Brunch which is known as one of the most popular destinations in South Beach. The Lobby Cafe a chic addition to your day, is open 24 hours. The Raleigh also features a 3-bedroom, 6,000 sq.ft. oceanfront duplex penthouse and is one of Miami’s most coveted suits for special occasions and private events. I was so happy we got to tour the penthouse. I mean just check out those amazing views below! The Oasis is located between the pools and beach and is a perfect haven for relaxation and privacy!
We enjoyed frozen drinks out by the pool almost every day just enjoying the atmosphere and The Raleigh was the perfect location in South Beach to get around and see the sights! I can’t wait to stay here when it comes back!
