Before we take the plunge into the real world, my girls and I decided to treat ourselves to a MUCH deserved Graduation vacay to Cancun!
Check out our stay at The Grand Oasis in Cancun, Mexico!
The hotel was gorgeous with 3 different buildings to choose from depending on the atmosphere you wanted. We chose the pyramid for our stay! The hotel lobby had hanging plants and exotic gardens with simple Mexican style and decor. Our first move when we arrived was to find a bar ASAP! The first bar we came across was the beach bar. An adorable little hut overlooking the ocean! Right above it was what we deemed the “fun pool”. This was what you picture when you think of Spring Break. Swim up bar, crowded with people, and all those silly drunk competitions coming from the DJ booth! For the first day and a half we thought this was the only pool, boy were we wrong! There were 5+ pools to choose from.
After finding more pools, our daily routine consisted of laying by the “classy pool”– aka the one with fabulous chair cushions- in the mornings, and venturing down to the “fun pool” when we were ready to get wild!
Being an avid Jersey Shore goer (NO NOT LIKE THE SHOW) I’m used to ocean being a grey/green color. The Cancun clear blue water was b-e-a-u-tiful and I’m not sure I’ll ever look at my green ocean water the same. We headed down to the beach for some lazy afternoons, where you could rent little bungalows to lounge under.
Food + Drink- This was my first all inclusive vacation, and I can assure you, there’s no other way to go. SO worth it. Unlimited drinks, unlimited food– What more can you ask for? Only rough part was having to squeeze myself into a bikini after hitting the buffet all week long! Thank god one pieces are back in!
There were almost TOO many restaurants to choose from. Literally anything you could’ve dreamed of eating was available. You could choose between Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Steak House, another Mexican, or International. Our favorite restaurants were a toss up between Hippie Chic Grill for lunch and the Rodizzi Steak House for dinner! They chop the steak right in front of you and have a huge buffet of sides to choose from!
AND how could you not love eating with a view like this every day?!
We had an unforgettable time, met some fabulous new friends, and definitely dreaded heading home. It was the perfect celebration of our four years together… and a perfect start to the rest of our lives! Cancun officially has our heart and I’m sure they’ll see us again. (not too soon since we’re probably on the most wanted list -wink )
