The colorful architecture of Sitra

This is one of the most colorful towns you can find in Portugal, and you’re bound to be impressed by its opulent architecture. You’ll see ancient castles and big mansions all in rich ochre, brick red, and blue shades, and the entire town sits on top of a hill so it offers a truly spectacular view. It’s close to Lisbon and you can simply take a day trip to visit it if you like. Make sure to bring your camera if you want to capture the surrounding scenery and take a few selfies on the cobbled, vibrant streets, and do check out The Palácio Nacional da Pena and The Palácio Nacional de Sintra if you want to enjoy two lovely palaces.

The rich history of Porto

Porto is the second-largest city in Lisbon and it’s full of picturesque vistas that any tourist can enjoy. One of the things that’s definitely not to be missed is Igreja dos Grilos, a cathedral in the middle of the city that offers a great view over the whole square and the nearby river. You’ll have to climb all the way to the top if you want to see the full, impressive vista, but it’s worth it. It’s generally a great idea to explore the whole city because Porto should always be a part of good Portugal holidays as there is much to see here. You can also enjoy the surrounding Douro Valley for some relaxing greenery and pretty sights.

The Azores is an archipelago that’s in the middle of North Atlantic Ocean. It’s comprised of nine volcanic islands and takes several hours by plane (or boat) to reach it. They drape down green cliffs almost gently and provide a truly gorgeous background that invokes a sense of peace. When you see them, you’ll be left in awe, especially because all around these waterfalls is untouched nature and wild plant life that simply breathes vibrancy.
