Tips on how to pitch brands as an influencer
- Do your research: Before you reach out to any brands, make sure you understand the company, their products, their target market, and the types of influencers they typically work with.
- Have a clear goal: Before you pitch, be sure that you have a clear goal in mind. What do you hope to get out of this partnership? Do you want to increase your followers, receive free products, or get paid?
- Show your value: Outline the value you can provide to the brand. Do you have a large social media following? Are you experienced in creating content that resonates with your audience? Make sure the brand understands what they would be getting out of the partnership.
- Pitch the right person: Reach out to the right person at the company. Find the contact information of the person in charge of influencer marketing and make sure to address them directly in your email.
- Follow-up: If you don’t get a response immediately, don’t be afraid to follow up after a week or two. Send a polite reminder email to check in and let them know you’re still interested in working together.
- Be professional: Write a professional, clear, and concise email. Include a link to your website or social media accounts so the brand can learn more about you. Create a template for directly pitching these brands, outlining your proposal and value as an influencer.
