Here are some ideas on how you can spend a weekend in Winston-Salem, North Carolina!
What To Do
While you’re in Winson Salem there are a few things you can do! Walk around the Old Salem Museums & Gardens, an historical location and the oldest planned city in America. Check out the farmers market on Saturday mornings during the summer or just walk around and explore. You’ll feel like you’ve traveled back in time. There’s a few other landmarks and museums you can visit but I recommend at least seeing the Shell-shaped gas station! It’s just too funny.
Make sure to check out all of the outdoor adventures whether it’s hiking, touring, or going paddle boarding! If you’re in town for the weekend head to wine country to check out Divine Llama Vineyards. I’ve heard you can trek through the countryside with a cuddly llama!
Stay in town and explore the ARTivity at the green and check out all the cool wall murals downtown! Perfect for Instagram!

Where To Eat & Drink
Make sure to grab some coffee or tea and chocolate from Black Mountain Chocolate! You can also take a tour of the chocolate factory while you’re there. Head next door for a beer at Broad Branch Distillery or down the road to Small Batch Beer Company. There are so many breweries you really can’t go wrong. For breakfast or an early lunch go to Mary’s Diner. They’re only open from 8am-2pm so get there early.
You’re definitely going to want to eat at Crafted. The food there was beyond amazing. The atmosphere and decor killed it too! A for sure, definite, you have to go, must! Unless of course you don’t like tacos…but who doesn’t love tacos!
