15 Things No One Should Live Without

1.Regular Exercise
To start off, regular exercise and physical activity make us live longer. Need I say more? Everybody benefits from exercise, regardless of age. Feel better, release endorphins, get stronger, and have more energy. Being healthy never felt so good. We need at least 150 minutes of moderate activity or 75 vigorous activity a week.

2. Water
Did you know that 60% of our body is made up of water? It is very crucial for our health and well-being. It regulates a myriad of body processes ranging from flushing out waste from our body, to regulating body temperature and helping our brain function. Aside from drinking water, food also contributes a small amount to our daily water intake. We should be drinking at least half our body weight in water. For example, if you weight 150 pounds, you should drink 75 ounces of water per day. I carry this water bottle with me all day and fill it up with my favorite ice and I’m set for the day!

3. Support Network
Remember the saying “no man is an island?” Well, we take that seriously here. We can’t thrive alone, and aren’t meant to do life by yourselves. We need family and friends as pillars of support. Apart from it, they help us realize a meaningful life.  It is very critical to surround ourselves with family and friends who would jump oceans for us.

4. Education
In this modern and competitive world, education plays a major role. We need it to survive. This is not just to read and write, but to develop a perspective of looking at life and make use of it to our full advantage as we grow. Education has the power to change our lives. If we are not learning and growing, we can not evolve as people.

5. Laughter
Considering the pandemic we are experiencing now, all of us could use a little more laughter. It does not only bring people together and establish amazing connections but more importantly, it is a strong medicine. It strengthens your immune system, boosts mood, and protects you from the effects of stress. I would recommend Iliza Shlesinger on Netflix!

6. A good book
There are so many books but  so little time to read them! For the majority of people like us who love to read, books are part of our everyday lives. It is inevitable. A good book takes us into a world we didn’t know existed whether it provides us insights into life, love, fear, or life lessons. They tone up our intellectual taste and remove our ignorance. If you don’t have time to read download your favorite book on Audible and listen while you travel, drive, or go for a walk. 

7. Moisturizer
We’re guessing everybody here knows we’re supposed to moisturize our skin, right? You’re probably thinking moisturizing is an annoying extra step in our skincare routine. Don’t make that mistake. Don’t even think about skipping moisturizers, because it is vital for healthy skin and the experts agree. After all, our skin is the body’s largest organ and it deserves our utmost attention! All you need is your trusty jar of your favorite moisturizer.

8. Wine
We are amazed at the same time relieved to put this on our list. We’ve all heard about the health benefits of red wine and we are here to confirm it once again! Aside from the mental happiness, we get from drinking, red wine lowers our risk of several diseases, including heart disease. But wait, we mean drinking wine in moderation — about a glass per day. Cheers to a healthier heart!

9. Music
Music is good for our mental well-being. It’s very interesting how hearing a particular song can make us feel happy, calm, or energized. Music has so many amazing benefits because it can change our moods from bad to good. Research has shown that listening to music can reduce anxiety, blood pressure, and pain as well as impove sleep quality, mood, mental alertness and memory. One thing’s for sure, we can’t live without it!

10. Money
Practically speaking, money is a very important matter in our lives. It helps us achieve most of the things we have listed here. It is an essential commodity that gives us freedom and choices in life. A philosopher once said money is a good servant but a bad master. We couldn’t agree more. We have to control money and make sure we don’t fall into the evil hands of it.

11. Internet
It’s next to impossible imagining a world without the internet. While the internet can be stressful at time, we think there are so many more positive benefits than negative. It has become very easy to connect with people, stories, and businesses. It opened a whole new world for us brimming with opportunities here and there. The importance of the internet in our daily lives is unquestionable but don’t get us wrong, the internet has a fair share of disadvantages. We just choose to see how our innovation and creativity manifest in the quality of our lives.

12. Mobile Phone
Gone are the days when mobile phones were considered a luxury. Today in this era of wireless communication, mobile phones are a basic necessity for communication. It makes our lives easier! It’s easy to use, inexpensive, and efficient. Also phones have changes so much since they first came out, the amount of things you can do and create are amazing. The picture quality alone is phenomenal with the ability to create so many memories for friends and families. People are able to communicate in so many different ways, and with the pandemic being able to communicate with so many people has helped so many people.

13. Coffee
Coffee is essential to life. Do you agree? Of course, you do! There are so many good reasons to drink coffee and there are a few reasons not to. We choose to forget the latter. To some, coffee is a drink of refreshment.  However, for coffee drinkers like us, it is our fuel to start our day with enthusiasm and energy. Not only that coffee has been linked to burning fat and improving physical performance. Along with those, it has been known to lower your risk of type 2 diabetes, cancer and Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Grab your daily cup of coffee now!

14. Laptop
Computer literacy is spreading like wildfire today. Laptops have taken over the digital world. If you are always on the move, this is a must for you. Laptops are convenient, flexible, and portable. Very similar to mobile phones, laptop are helping people connect all over the world. Take it everywhere you go!

15. Vacation
Burnout is real. Every day we are pressured in our lives from all kinds of things. Taking a break from all of these is vitally important for our health and mental well-being. People who take vacations come back feeling rejuvenated, relaxed, and ready to fight the battles in their lives. Never forget to plan downtime to recharge and renew. Stick those toes in the sand! It is not a luxury but a necessity.
