Pets Allowed! 5 Dog Friendly Restaurants on Alabama’s Gulf Coast

I have two giant dogs, a yellow lab and a rescued pit-boxer mix that are both above 60 pounds. Normally there are tons of restrictions when it comes to pet-friendly properties and things to do. However, we’ve found some great places along The Gulf Coast that welcome our fur babies! I hate leaving my pets at home when I travel so any chance I get to bring them with me is a win! Vacationing to a house on the beach where you can bring your entire family (pets included) is a dream! There are some amazing places to stay that are pet friendly (including beachfront), restaurants where you can dine with your dogs, plus beaches and parks close by! So next time you’re ready for a vacation, pack up the family and take a road trip to Alabama’s Gulf Coast!

Make sure to check out these pet-friendly restaurants

The Gulf is constructed from shipping containers and offers views of Alabama Point. All seating is outdoors and all music is played on vinyl records. The menu is limited, but the views are breathtaking. Most furniture is made of recycled and repurposed materials, including sling chairs made from thousands of recycled straws. The same local owners also own The Hangout.

The Flora-Bama Yacht Club is located across the street from the legendary Flora-Bama Lounge. After you dine at the Yacht Club, stop in at the bar for live music and libations. Fisher’s Dockside

27075 Marina Road, Orange Beach 36561 // Website

Fisher’s at Orange Beach Marina houses two restaurants under one roof, each devoted to creating mouthwatering cuisine that complements two waterfront dining experiences: Upstairs and Dockside, both of which are recommended by Southern Living. Be sure to order the Murder Point Oysters, also known as Butter Babies! Fisher’s concentrates on local food sourcing. Examples include lettuce from a small, boutique grower, peanuts from Fidler Farms, a local farmer, and the Murder Point oysters from a nearby boutique oyster farm.

Bill’s by the Beach
