The VGB girls of Atlanta packed up our bags (yes, plural) and headed to Miami! Books for plane, check. Snacks, check. Sprinkles for in-flight cocktails, check.

Hotel + Room
We headed to Grand Beach Hotel Surfside and couldn’t be more excited as we walked into their gorgeous lobby – crisp and clean with all white decor! It’s like we were in heaven. The hotel itself is extremely spacious and welcoming. There are floor to ceiling windows that surround the lobby so right when you walk in you can see straight out to the beach and ocean. The views are amazing. There is a lobby bar plus a gelato and coffee bar perfect for those morning and ice cream cravings! The restaurant in the lobby is delicious and the room service is just as good! If you decide to eat downstairs, there is indoor and outdoor seating. Around the lobby you’ll find a few cozy nooks to sit including a readig area with floor to ceiling book cases stocked full of books. The modern luxurious decor makes you never want to leave. Anything and everything you could possibly want is right at your fingertips.
After we grabbed our complimentary welcome cocktails from the lobby bar, we quickly headed to our awesome suite, unpacked our bags, and of course, made ourselves right at home. We were in a two bedroom three bathroom suite that had more than enough room. There were 4 separate closets and a seating area with a large couch that pulled out into a separate bed. We were easily able to sleep 6 in that suite. There were also 3 desks which made it so easy to get ready. What more could a girl ask for!
There’s just something about hotel bedding that can put you right to sleep. The plush white bedding was so cozy you melt right in. One of my favorite things was the balcony. It was giant! The balcony stretched across the entire suite and connected the rooms. I loved going out there with my morning coffee and looking out over Miami and the ocean. It’s definitely a great way to start your day.
Pools + Beaches
The first thing you need to do when you get there is head to the rooftop pool. If you thought your room view was nice you’ll be blown away by the rooftop views. There is a lookout area, a pool, two hot tubs, cabanas, and a bar! The rooftop bar is the icing on the cake. If you need me, I’ll be there. The cabanas are so cozy and they even have curtains so you can shut them for privacy for a little nap time. Getting in the hot tub while the wind blows at dusk is definitely a must. I love ending my day that way. Theres just something so calming and relaxing about it.
There are multiple pools and hot tubs on the property. We loved the roof top pool the most for catching some sun but spent time at each pool. There are even ice water stations around the pools that are infused with fruit. They were such a nice touch and really come in handy with the Miami heat. We got to sip in style and enjoyed all our fun Swoozies swag!
Make sure to head to the beach too! The white sand beaches and water are right off the hotel. It’s just a short walk to dip your toes in the sand! We made sure to do morning yoga on the beach!
Food + Drink
After a good night sleep in the ohhh so cozy beds, we headed to the Grand Beach Hotel Surfside breakfast buffet! OMG! I’m drooling right now as I’m thinking about all the options. Typically when you hear the word buffet you cringe a little but this was anything but. I would eat there everyday if I could. There were fresh fruit smoothies, made to order omelettes, pancakes, sausage, pastries, and so much more! It was all so appetizing. There was even a fresh fruit bar. And the view! It was so nice to sit outside, look at the shimmering ocean water and sip our bloody mary’s, mimosas, and coffee… okay, yes a bit much. It was all so great though! And we had the best service, thanks Ange.
