7 Reasons to Stay in Eze, Côte d’Azur!

Visiting Cote D'azur soon and wondering where to stay? If you're on the lookout for a romantic vacation, here are seven reasons you must choose Eze as your next European beach vacation! #France #Eze

The French Riviera is a beautiful place!  The views are simply breathtaking.  We visited Eze and stayed at the most amazing luxury boutique hotel tucked away at the top of a cliff.  The Medieval village of Eze is situated on the Moyenne Corniche between Nice and Monaco. You can find it on a map here. Nice international airport is only 18 Km away and the exit 57 on the A8 is 5 km from the village. Eze is one of the most magical places in the French Riviera!

Here are 7 reasons to inspire you to stay in Eze!

1.Chateau Eza

Of all the hotels on the Cote d’Azur, Château Eza is the most stunning, with its Michelin starred gourmet restaurant and killer views. It’s truly one of the most enchanting locations on the Côte d’ Azur.  It’s been known as one of the World’s Most Romantic Hotels. The 14 intimate rooms and suites of this 400 year old Chateau, also a former residence to a Swedish Prince, offer epic vistas over the Cote d’Azur, often from private balconies and terraces, as does Chateau Eza’s gourmet restaurant, itself overlooking the sun-kissed horizons of the French Riviera.

2.Restaurant Château Eza

Château Eza hotel offers a Michelin star gourmet restaurant serving à la carte French and Mediterranean cuisine against the stunning backdrop of the French Riviera. You can dine in the indoor glass-edged room with 180° panoramic views to fully enjoy the Riviera or on one of the several outdoor terraces, all overlooking the sparkling azure waters of the Cote d’Azur. I mean just check out this menu!

The food is beyond amazing. It’s seriously the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life.  Don’t want to swing a meal because of the price, head to the bar for a drink just to experience the atmosphere and incredible views! Definitely once in a lifetime!

3. Make your own perfume

There are two perfumeries in Eze that let you make your own scent.  It really make you feel like a celebrity! Hmm what should I call mine? Liquid Gold? Anyways, these two shops are so cute! Fragonard is simply darling. Not only do they have perfume but they have such a cute line of products and even some clothes! [Read-I bought everything lol] The other is Galimard where you can also take a tour of the perfume factory and check out a small museum.  Regardless which one you choose, make sure to call 2 days ahead of time to book your spot! There is only one class that offers an English speaking teacher so be sure to snag that one if you aren’t fluent in French.

4. Walk up the cliff to the lookout point (Jardin exotique) + Pop in the shops on your way up!

The walk itself is beautiful.  Yes, it’s exhausting but the breath taking views of the Mediterranean Sea make it better.  Plus the views from the top are magical!

There are so many cute shops and boutiques that are hidden in the cliffs.  Wander around, get lost, and pop in each boutique to find some amazing handmade French items!

5. Visit Eglise Notre Dame de l’Assomption and the cemetery

There is a beautiful church half way up the cliff that you can visit.  Just look for the tall clocktower! There is also a small small cemetery next to it threw a small door.  Be respectful and don’t take pictures but its interesting to observe a few of the headstones and general area where they are buried.

6. Exotic sports car experience

The South of France is known for it’s lavish luxuries so why not drive a Lambo or Ferrari. Take it for a cruise or rent it for the day. I recommend just trying it out for 30 min or so for around $60 euro.

7. French Riviera day trips

It’s a great place to stay because you can take quick day trips to Monaco, Monte Carlo, Nice, Eze Beach etc…

Bonus! You get to wear cute stuff like this!

If you can go with the love of your life like I did it certainly helps but it’s a great trip regardless and I highly recommend staying in Eze.  If you can’t stay it’s definitely worth a day trip!
